Force Mage is a specialization available to Mage characters.
Restrictions: Must have at least Expert Level in Spirit Magic and Intermediate Level in one of the Primal schools. This specialization requires mod approval, along with appropriate training in the history.
Force Mages are fearsome to behold. They seem to be able to defy the natural order of things by using strong telekinetic mind magic in conjunction with the primal forces of nature. With a thought they can lift someone into the air, or hold them fast against the ground.
This particular focus of magic takes much time and work to learn. It requires mental clarity and focus, for wielding such power can become dangerous for the mage is they are not in complete control. Often a skill learned in the Circles of Thedas, it has been found in some apostates, obviously taught by Circle escapees.
Often mages who take up this training have a sharp mind, and an affinity for both the more primal forces of the world and the spiritual energies that flow from across the veil. While not as attractive to demons as Spirit Healers, Force Mages often find themselves tested by the fiends after long battles when their willpower is stretched thin.
Combat Skills Edit
- Fist of the Maker: The mage uses the primal energies around them in conjunction with their mental strength to slam an enemy to the ground causing considerable damage whether the foe is armored or not. This spell has a chance to disorient the target, making them useless for a time.
- Telekinetic Burst: Purely defensive in nature, this spell is often used by a Force mage that has been cornered. Focusing their mental will, the mage sends for a wave of energy that knocks all foes away from them.
- Gravitic Ring: This spell makes enemies within a certain area find that their feet feel heavier, and their armor and items wish to drag them down. It is nearly impossible for a foe to wield a weapon while being affected by this spell.
- Pull of the Abyss: Another combination of mental will and primal magics, the mage is able to conjure a maelstrom that pulls all enemies to its core. The force is so great that it is nearly impossible for the enemies to move while the spell is active.

This specialization grants the following non-combat skills at advanced levels, depending on your character's advancement in the specialization. These do not count toward your skills total.
